I've thought about posting over the last few days and I've even opened Blogger a few times, but my mind seems incapable of stringing together enough words to formulate actual sentences. It's the first week in our new apartment and the last week of summer classes and I am spent. The good kind of spent, though. The kind of spent that only happens when you've been in overdrive trying to be the best at everything and knowing that, even if you're not perfect, you gave it all you had.

Here's what I'm up to as of late:

Wanting...summer classes to be over. Three more days feels like a hundred days with the number of deadlines that are crammed into them. I think I can, I think I can...

Enjoying...the animals in our new back yard! Our apartment backs up to several farms and there's a trail running all along them. It's so fun to walk Bane there and watch the horses and cows grazing.

Feeling...guilty for skipping a workout last night. I don't even have a good excuse, I just didn't feel like doing it.

Listening to...Radiohead, like non-stop for the last week. And rain, also non-stop for the last week.

Needing...some serious hair TLC. So thankful my stylist can fit me in when I'm home next week.

Wondering...how it's possible that after the Great Purge of 2014 I have another car load of Goodwill donations.

Waiting for...approximately 40 Amazon Prime shipments to get here. So many goodies on their way that will maximize efficiency in our small space!

  1. As much as I miss school, I definitely don't miss those deadlines or the stress of the end of the semester or term! I hope your last few days go by quickly with little stress! Hooray for amazon prime- it's always so nice knowing you're expecting a package or two...or three or... :)

  2. Yup breaks are needed sometimes! When we moved in I also ordered tons of stuff off Etsy and amazon to help maximize our space. I loved coming home to the goodies because half the time I'd forget about them by the time they showed up. I hope you get the rest you need :)

  10. I'm so jealous of your new neighbors! Oh man what an awesome addition to your running route. Chin up, friend, the end is near — you're kicking butt though and that's awesome! Hopefully you'll have a bit of time to relax and reboot before the fall semester starts!

  13. I've been staring at a blank page for hours, hoping a post will write itself. So far, no luck :( I need some serious hair tlc too but my stylist is moving 6 hours away as of Saturday and I'm completely devastated - I don't trust just anybody with my hair!

  14. So cool that your apartment backs up to farms and you get to see all those animals all the time. I miss school, I think I'd actually prefer those deadlines to my work deadlines. Maybe it's just been too long since I was in school so I forgot how hellish it was. I love getting packages in the mail, the best!
